BioTraces Inc.
produces a few models of
MPD instruments
for the 125I and 131I radioisotope.
MPD counters can be divided into : Sequential Sampling MPD (ssMPD) instruments (2 models), and Spatially Resolving MPD (srMPD) instruments. ssMPD instruments measure only one sample at a time, while srMPD instruments measure several samples simultaneously. All counters have sample changers for a given number of samples (up to 384 depending on model). All MPD instruments perform the measurements in two modes: standard (std) mode and enhanced (enh) mode. The enhanced mode is slower, but much more sensitive. The main parameters of MPD counters including sensitivity and detection efficiency determined for 125I radioisotope are provided below. The cross-talk between different samples, which is important for srMPD counters, is also presented. BioTraces, Inc. can custom produce
counters for other
radioisotopes and for different sample formats.
These detectors are expected to be much more sensitive than prior-art devices.
Parameters of srMPD counters for 125I radioisotope BioTraces Inc. developed MPD Imagers for 125I and 131I radioisotopes. For example, the MPD-Im-225 measures the imaged object at 225 positions with the size of pixel from 0.25 mm x 0.25 mm up to 2.5 mm x 2.5 mm. The maximal imaged area for MPD Imagers is 25 cm x 25 cm. Every measurement is performed in two modes: standard and enhanced . MPD Imagers have been produced in two modifications: for concurrent measurment of 125I and 131I radioisotopes. The cross-talk between labels made by these two radioisotopes is negligible small. Parameters of MPD Imagers for 125I radioisotope
